At 344 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in intersection of Wheeler Rd and Highland in Augusta and I-20 Exit 1 is closed due to being flooded. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
