At 1027 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Wayne to near Aurora to Plainfield, moving east at 55 mph. This line of storms has a history of producing extensive wind damage. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Aurora, Elgin, Bartlett, Crystal Lake, Carpentersville, St. Charles, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, West Chicago, Batavia, Huntley, Geneva, Campton Hills, South Elgin, Montgomery, Cary, North Aurora, Sugar Grove, Pingree Grove, Gilberts, West Dundee, Hampshire, Elburn, Fox River Grove, and Barrington Hills.
