At 1103 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour. A rain gauge near Roselawn recently reported 2.9 inches in just under 1 hour. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Cedar Lake, Lowell, DeMotte, Hebron, Wheatfield, Lake Village, Roselawn, Kouts, Lake Dalecarlia, Shelby, Hanging Grove, Schneider, Stoutsburg, Fair Oaks, Thayer, Parr, Boone Grove, Sumava Resorts and Baileys Corner.
