Tippecanoe River at Oakdale Dam at Lake Freeman near Yeoman. Wabash River at Lafayette. .Heavy rainfall since Tuesday afternoon has led to rapid rises along the Tippecanoe River and Wabash River near Lafayette. Flooding is expected to begin shortly. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...From this evening to late Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.9 feet, Lowland flooding develops. High water approaches river cabins near Davis Ferry Road. Water covers some spots on low county roads. The lower end of Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette begins to flood, along with the Heritage Trail. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 5.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 13.9 feet tomorrow evening.
