The primary thunderstorms have moved out of the area but flash flooding is expected to linger. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Iowa City, Marengo, West Branch, Coralville, North Liberty, Fairfax, Solon, Tiffin, Ely, Atkins, Walford, Swisher, Newhall, Oxford, Blairstown, Van Horne, Keystone, Shueyville and Norway. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 239 and 253. Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 17.
