* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Floyd County in north central Iowa... Chickasaw County in northeastern Iowa... * WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 723 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Charles City, New Hampton, Lawler, Rudd, Floyd, Ionia, Jerico, Chickasaw, Alta Vista, North Washington, Colwell, Bassett, County Roads B 33 And T 76, Deerfield, Highway 18 And County V 18, County Roads B 28 And V 18, Devon, Twin Ponds Park and New Hampton Airport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
