THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILL ALLOW SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 598 TO EXPIRE AT 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS ALLOWS TO EXPIRE 5 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS JOHNSON MIAMI IN NORTHEAST KANSAS ATCHISON LEAVENWORTH WYANDOTTE IN MISSOURI THIS ALLOWS TO EXPIRE 7 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI CASS CLAY JACKSON JOHNSON LAFAYETTE PLATTE RAY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ATCHISON, BELTON, CONCORDIA, EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, FORT LEAVENWORTH, GLADSTONE, HARRISONVILLE, HIGGINSVILLE, INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS CITY, KANSAS CITY KANSAS, KEARNEY, LANSING, LAWSON, LEAVENWORTH, LENEXA, LEXINGTON, LIBERTY, LOUISBURG, ODESSA, OLATHE, OSAWATOMIE, OVERLAND PARK, PAOLA, PARKVILLE, PLATTE CITY, PLEASANT HILL, RAYMORE, RICHMOND, RIVERSIDE, SHAWNEE, STANLEY, WARRENSBURG, WEATHERBY LAKE, AND WESTON.
