At 349 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over northeastern Springfield, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Willard, Strafford, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Walnut Grove, Pleasant Hope, Brookline, Glidewell, Sacville, Ebenezer, Bassville, Brighton, Turners, Bois D'arc, Cave Springs, and Galloway. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 62 and 90.
