* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...West Central Yellowstone County in south central Montana... * WHEN...Until 545 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry coulees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 350 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3.2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Razor Creek, Five Mile Creek, Twelve Mile Creek, Crooked Creek, South Fork Fivemile Creek, and Sevenmile Creek. Only light additional rain accumulations are expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Shepherd and Acton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in Billings.
