THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 608 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NORTH CAROLINA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 13 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ANSON CUMBERLAND HARNETT HOKE JOHNSTON LEE MONTGOMERY MOORE RICHMOND SAMPSON SCOTLAND STANLY WAYNE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABERDEEN, ALBEMARLE, ANGIER, BUIES CREEK, CAMP MACKALL, CARTHAGE, CLAYTON, CLINTON, DUNN, ELLERBE, ERWIN, FAYETTEVILLE, GOLDSBORO, HOPE MILLS, LAURINBURG, LILLINGTON, PINEHURST, POLKTON, RAEFORD, ROCKINGHAM, ROSEBORO, SANFORD, SELMA, SMITHFIELD, SOUTHERN PINES, SPRING LAKE, TROY, WADESBORO, AND WAGRAM.
