* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Pittsylvania County in south central Virginia... The Northern City of Danville in south central Virginia... * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 504 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Birch Creek, Cane Creek, Dan River, Hardys Creek, Lawless Creek, Dry Fork, Gunther Branch, Double Creek, Fall Creek, Germy Creek and Barker Creek.
