* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...White County in southeastern Illinois... Posey County in southwestern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1258 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Radar estimates between 1 and 2 inches of rain has already fallen in parts of the Advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the Advisory area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Vernon, Carmi, Grayville, Norris City, Poseyville, New Harmony, Crossville, Cynthiana, Blairsville, Griffin, Maunie, and Phillipstown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
