Walnut Creek at Des Moines 63rd St affecting Polk County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Walnut Creek at Clive I-80/35, or from Little Walnut Creek to the North Walnut Creek. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Swanson Blvd is closed from Harbach Blvd west to NW 94th St due to storm sewer backup. The intersection of 93rd St and Lincoln St is closed also due to storm sewer backup. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:58 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.5 feet, and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.8 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage this afternoon. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
