At 715 PM MDT/815 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 14 miles north of Chivington to 6 miles west of Horace to 17 miles north of Syracuse, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Mesonet. At 708 MDT, a mesonet site 17 miles south of Tribune, KS measured a wind gust of 64 mph. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Leoti, Cheyenne Wells, Tribune, Weskan, Horace, Selkirk, and Marienthal. This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 136 and 162.
