* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Perry County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 602 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen in the past 30 to 40 minutes in the western parts of the county. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Perryville, Altenburg, Frohna, Longtown, Old Appleton, Lithium and Silver Lake. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
