* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Nassau and Suffolk. * WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 853 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Huntington Station, Glen Cove, Huntington, Northport, Oyster Bay, Bayville, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, East Northport, Greenlawn, Elwood, Fort Salonga, Glen Head, Lloyd Harbor, Muttontown, Locust Valley, East Norwich, Oyster Bay Cove, Old Brookville and Upper Brookville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
