* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Orleans County in western New York... * WHEN...Until 1115 AM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding, especially in the town of Medina and Barre. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1119 PM EDT, doppler radar estimates 3 to 4 inches of rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Continued run off from earlier thunderstorms will continue to run small creeks and streams near bankfull with poor drainage flooding continuing through the night. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Medina, Albion, Ridgeway, Shelby, Gaines, Knowlesville, Millville and Barre Center. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
