* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Onslow County in eastern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 726 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jacksonville, Camp Lejeune Center, New River Station, Piney Green, Pumpkin Center, Midway Park, Onslow Beach, Sneads Ferry and Sea View Pier. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
