What Floods at Each Level

Flooding of historic proportions in Panama City and in the adjacent bays and bayous. Much of downtown Panama City near the marina is flooded by water up to 9 feet deep. Areas west of Michigan Avenue to the Hathaway Bridge are flooded. Structures around Grand Lagoon suffer significant flood damage and may be destroyed. Extensive flooding into the bayous significantly damage or destroy many residences near the water.

Catastrophic Flooding in Panama City and into the adjacent bays and bayous. Portions of the Bay Point Neighborhood experience significant flooding with some homes flooded by more than 5 feet of water. Access into the Bay Point Area by Thomas Drive is impossible. Magnolia Beach Road floods at this level. Significant flooding of residential areas in the bayous continue to worsen with some structures destroyed.

Catastrophic flooding in Panama City and in the adjacent bays and bayous. Approaches to the SR-77 and SR-77A bridges in Southport flood. Water from West Bay begins to flood SR-79 south of the BV Buchanan Bridge. Flooding continues to expand downtown with much of the area near the marina flooded up to 6 feet deep. West 23rd and West 18th streets flood, restricting westbound access to US-98 across the Hathaway Bridge.

Around Grand Lagoon, Thomas Drive floods at this level. Numerous residences in Bay Point along Wahoo Road and southward to the Lagoon will flood. Homes at Bay Point Harbour flood at this level. Portions of the golf course are flooded up to 2 feet. Areas along the bayous experience significant flooding with some homes flooded up to 3 feet deep.

Significant flooding in Panama City and into the adjacent bays and bayous. The marina downtown begins to flood. Much of the surrounding area downtown is flooded by water up to 3 feet deep west of Grace Avenue and south of West 6th Street. Flooding expands for areas along the waterfront near the marina. FSU-PC and Gulf Coast CC continues to flood, with some areas up to 2 feet deep.

In Grand Lagoon, flood severity increases. The backyards of several homes area flooded. Areas along North Lagoon Drive flood. Access to the area is restricted at this level. Structures not elevated south of Wahoo Rd to Finisterre Drive are subject to flooding at and above this level. Homes near Bay Point Harbour are surrounded by flood waters. Flooding affects more residential areas along the bayous. Some homes not elevated in these areas flood, with water up to 2 feet deep.

Flooding further expands downtown near the marina. Business US-98 (West 6th Street) floods at Mulberry Avenue. Many areas along St Andrew Bay west of the marina begin to flood. FSU Panama City and Gulf Coast Community College campuses begin to flood. Magnitude of flooding in residential area west of Wildwood Road increases, with numerous residences affected.

The marina at Thomas Drive begins to flood into the parking lot and flood waters approach North Lagoon Drive. Flooding continues to affect properties along the waterfront int the bayous with some structures not elevated flood with water up to 1 foot deep.
