Flood of record from April 24, 1956. Catastrophic flooding from Georgetown to Granger Lake. Residences along San Gabriel Village Blvd near the merger of the north and south forks of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown flood. Georgetown Parks and Recreation Administration buildings have become isolated. Flood waters have reached the bottom of the Ronald W Reagan Blvd bridge. Interstate 35 and the Southwest Bypass are the few bridges between Georgetown and Granger Lake that have not been overtopped.

Major lowland flooding is ongoing with flood waters up to the borrom of bridges on State Highway 29 bridge between Georgetown and Jonah, and North Austin Ave in Georgetown. The bridges on FM 1660 south of Jonah and North County Road 366 have flooded. South Rock Street in Georgetown, near Blue Hole Park, has flooded.
