What Floods at Each Level
36 ft
Major Flooding. Catastrophic regional floodplain inundation. Waters approaching the underside of the Alexander Valley Road bridge and wing wall on west side of river, with much of bridge and roadway on the east side already submerged. Alexander Valley RV Park and Campground fully flooded.
31 ft
Moderate Flooding. More widespread floodplain inundation regionally is expected at this stage. Locally, lower portions of the Alexander Valley RV Park and Campground may begin to flood. NWS will issue a Flash Flood Warning, if not yet already issued.
26.2 ft
Minor Flooding. River flowing at capacity; any additional rise in stage will cause widespread overtopping of natural levee crests on the lower east side of the river. Existing breaches, if any, will cause several feet of inundation on eastern floodplain, with flooding possible on Alexander Valley Road east of the river. NWS will issue an Urban/Small Stream Advisory, if not yet already issued.
24 ft
Monitor Stage. Minor flooding possible on east side of river; water level is 2 feet below the lowest natural levee crests on the east side of the river. NWS will issue a Flash Flood Watch, if not yet already issued.
