Stay away from the river banks as swift flows will exist along the Quinebaug River. In Pomfret, floodwaters encroach on Cotton Road. Backwater flooding may occur along the mouth of Mashmocket Brook in the vicinity of Route 101. Low lying farmland adjacent to the river may flood.
