In April 2013, nearly 400 homes in Howard County affected by flooding. More than 5 were destroyed, and greater than 150 suffered major damage. A neighborhood near Park Road and Washington Street flooded extensively. Foster Park was almost completely underwater north of Wildcat Creek. Every bridge approach over Wildcat Creek in Kokomo was flooded. Only 3 north to south routes across Wildcat Creek were semi-passable...U.S. Hwy 31, Apperson Way and Dixon Road, according to the Kokomo Fire Dept.
