  Near this height, Lemon Street, Colfax Street, Munger Street, and Dulany Park are flooded and the park is closed.

  Sawyer's Family Fun Park south of Hannibal typically closes near this level as parking access to the park is cut off. The Norfolk and Southern Multisports Complex and Ringer Park are flooded and closed near this height.

  The Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, formerly the old armory, on Collier Street floods. Numerous businesses in southwest Hannibal outside the flood wall begin to flood.

  At this height, the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center will be evacuated and closed as floodwater enters the southwest corner of the building. Also, the south end Dulany Park begins flooding and the south ends of the Norfolk and Southern Multisport Comlex and Ringer Park flood near this height.

  Area south of Collier Street and along Sycamore Street outside the Hannibal flood wall floods. Also near this height, the parking lot around the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center begins flooding. South Main Street south of the flood wall is closed.

  Highway 79 begins flooding south of Hannibal, and it may be closed from south of Hannibal to Route N.

  Near this height, the west, east, and south building entrances to the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center building become inaccessible.

  BNSF tracks just south of Hannibal are flooded.

  At this height, water will reach the base of the remaining three flood gates on Broadway Avenue and Main Street, so these gates should already be installed and locked down. Bear Creek Trail and Dempsey Dog Park begin flooding and are closed near this height. Access to Sodalis Nature Preserve parking is flooded at 6th and Ely Streets. The south end of the Norfolk and Southern Multisport Complex begins flooding near 6th and 7th Streets. The grandstand area of Clemens Field begins flooding.

  The Burlington Northern/Sante Fe railroad tracks running North and South and the railroad yards begin to flood. At this height, water reaches the base of the two flood gates at Hill Street and Center Steet, so these gates should already be installed and locked down. Also at this level, preparations are made to install the remaining 3 flood gates on Broadway Avenue and Main Street if the forecast reaches 21.5 feet.

  Nipper Park begins flooding on the Hannibal riverfront.

• 19 ft

  The Corps of Engineers begins flood fight procedures. At this level, preparations are made to install two flood gates at Hill Street and Center Street if the forecast exceeds 20.5 feet.

• 18 ft

  The northern end of Southside Recreation #2 Park along Bear Creek begins flooding at this height. Gate wells are shut down to prevent the sewers from backing up. Also at this level pumps are set to standby.

  John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding.
