  Flood of record of June 28, 2006. Water was up to six feet deep in business district along Delaware Street in Walton.

  This was the level of the snowmelt and ice jam flood of January 1996.

• 16 ft

  Major flooding. Inundation becomes widespread along the business district in Walton. Water depth is up to five feet deep along sections of Delaware Street in Walton. Liberty and Townsend Streets are flooded near Delaware St.

• 15 ft

  Water depth is up to three feet deep along portions of the Delaware Street business district in Walton. North St. and the lower part of Griswold St. floods. Widespread flooding occurs at the Fairgrounds. The substation off South St. is surrounded by water.

  This was the flood crest of the March, 1986 flood.

  Moderate flood stage. Flooding spreads into low spots at several locations along Delaware Street and begins impacting basements and ground floors in the business district.
