Widespread and significant flooding throughout Swansboro and the western portions of Carteret County, including Emerald Isle, and areas from Cedar Point to Broad Creek, with homes and businesses flooded.Portions of Highway 24 between Swansboro and Cedar Point may be impassable. Many seconary roads (in numerous sound side communities) adjacent to the sound and river will be impassable with several feet of inundation. Including western Emerald Isle, west of Gulf Stream Drive.
Numerous homes and businesses will see flooding throughout Swansboro and the western portions of Carteret County (sound side Emerald Isle and areas from Cedar Point to Broad Creek) adjacent to the Bogue Sound, White Oak River and other tributaries. Many secondary roads adjacent to the sound and river will be inundated with water and may be impassable, including Channel Drive and portions of Coast Guard Road in Emerald Isle.
Minor flooding in sound side Emerald Isle, and from Swansboro to Broad Creek, flooding docks and yards adjacent to the Bogue Sound, White Oak River and other tributaries.
Very low lying areas in Emerald Isle, Swansboro, Cedar Point, and Cape Carteret adjacent to the Bogue Sound, White Oak River and other tributaries will see minor flooding.
