What floods at each level

• 11 ft

  Disastrous flooding of the Vanceboro area on the north side of the river, to the lower Swift Creek. Travel nearly impossible, with many homes inundated by floodwaters.

• 8.5 ft

  Widespread flooding of the southern Vanceboro area, with numerous roads flooded and impassable. Several homes near the river are inundated, with more surrounded by water.

• 6.5 ft

  River Road is flooded and likely impassable in several locations as small tributaries flood. Other low lying roads in the area are likely to be water covered as well. Water surrounds homes at the end of Cow Pen Landing Road, and on Elane Drive. Water may also threaten residences off of Ayden Drive, Chips Road, and Craven Road.

• 4.5 ft

  Water floods the end of Cow Pen Landing Road, including the boat launch area. The Spring Garden boat launch area is also inundated. Water may cover portions of River Road in a few low lying spots.

• 3.5 ft

  The boat launches at Cow Pen Landing, and Spring Garden are flooded.
