What Floods at Each Level

Catastrophic flooding along the river in and around Pollocksville. The entirety of the town is under feet of water, and travel around Jones county is next to impossible. Water flows several feet over the Highway 17 bridge, and some homes near the river are almost completely submerged by floodwaters, while countless others are inundated. This is comparable to the flood following Hurricane Florence.

Devastating flooding. Most of the town of Pollocksville is flooded. Water overflows all the way past the post office downtown. Widespread flooding of numerous homes north and south of the river. Highway 17 is impassable near the river.

Water threatens the Highway 17 bridge. The north approach to the bridge is flooded. Numerous homes near the river are inundated. The Pollocksville Town Hall and Train Depot are significantly inundated.

Pollocksville Town Hall and Train Depot is flooded. Many homes near the river in Hughes Plantation Farms and Trent acres are inundated.

Homes near the river in Hughes Plantation Road and Trent Acres are surrounded by water with some inundation possible. Most residences along and off of Simmons Bluff Lane are completely surrounded by at least a few feet of water. Several roads crossing the river are impacted as well.

Water inundates low portions of Oak Grove Road near the bridge, and the roadway is likely impassable. Portions of Simmons Bluff Lane are also covered by water, and may be impassable. Extensive flooding of the Pollocksville boat launch area is expected as well.
