This was the level of the July 2017 flash flood. Dozens of properties were flooded along the reach of the creek. Several residents were evacuated from their homes. Several bridges and roads were inundated from Choconut, PA to Vestal, NY

Water floods into the natural floodplain near the gauge. Downstream flooding occurs at Richards Avenue Park, Vestal Center Park, and may reach backyards of residences closest to the river at around 9 feet.
