  This was the crest of the July 23, 2017 flash flood. Dozens of properties were flooded along the reach of the creek. Numerous evacuations and swift water rescues occurred. Bridges, roads and homes were inundated from Windham Township to the confluence with the Susquehanna River in Nichols, NY.

• 14.5 ft

  Widespread flooding occurs from Windham Township through the Town of Nichols. Evacuations and water rescues have occurred in the past at this level and higher. Several properties along State routes PA 187 and NY 282 are severely flooded. Bridge scouring and washouts have occurred. Kirby Park in Nichols may flood.

• 13 ft

  Serious flooding develops in Windham Township with flood waters affecting properties, roads and bridges between PA 187 and Huddle Road, and along Leraysville Road. Road flooding and closures begin along NY Route 282.

• 12 ft

  Flooding of mainly agricultural land begins along Leraysville Road and other locations along PA State Route 187.

• 11 ft

  State and county emergency management officials begin flood monitoring and notification activities when water is rising.
