What Floods at Each Level

20 ft

Extensive flooding of many homes and businesses will result on Riverside Road. Sections of Riverside Road will be under water.

17 ft

Major flooding begins. The Fulton County Water Pollution Control Facility will flood between 17 and 17.5 feet. Eves Road begins to flood. Numerous homes are flooded along Riverside Road and Old Riverside Road.

Moderate flooding expands of yards...walkways...access roads and some homes along portions of Riverside Road...Old Riverside Road and Azalea Drive. The tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club...the swimming pool and lower portions of the club house are flooded. Water is around three feet deep in the horse stables. The water level floods the gage house and automated stage readings are unlikely.

Moderate flooding begins. Extensive flooding of yards...walkways...access roads and some homes develop along parts of Riverside Road...Old Riverside Road and Azalea Drive by the river. Water floods the tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club...the swimming pool and lower portions of the club house. Water is four feet deep over the road leading to the horse stables which are flooded with up to two feet of water. The water level is around one half foot below the gage house which may affect the stage readings.

Minor flooding expands with water three feet deep in the Ace Sand Company office and a warehouse. Water covers the parking lots of Don White Memorial Park and the Azalea Park. Water floods the tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club and approaches the swimming pool. The water is three feet deep over the road leading to the horse stables which begin to flood. Riverside Road at Northcliff Trace is flooded with one foot of water. These conditions occurred in September 2009.

Minor flooding continues with water two feet deep in the Ace Sand Company office and a warehouse. Flooding expands into the parking lots of Don White Memorial Park on Riverside Road...and the Azalea Park on Azalea Drive west of Roswell Road. Water floods the tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club and is two feet deep over the road leading to the horse stables and approaches the north end of the stables. The storm drains stop functioning at Riverside Road and Northcliff Trace and the road begins to flood.

Minor flooding continues. The water is one foot deep in the Ace Sand Company office and begins to flood a warehouse. Flooding expands into the parkings lots of Don White Memorial Park on Riverside Road...and the Azalea Park on Azalea Drive west of Roswell Road. Water begins to flood the tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club across from Azalea Park and is one foot deep over the road leading to the horse stables. The storm drains will stop functioning at Riverside Road and Northcliff Trace.

Flood stage is reached. The water reaches the bottom of the Ace Sand Company office and begins to flood the parking lot of Don White Memorial Park on Riverside Road...and the parking lot at the Azalea Park on Azalea Drive west of Roswell Road. Water will approach the tennis courts at the Huntcliff Club across from Azalea Park and begin to flood the road leading to the horse stables. The storm drains will no longer function properly at Riverside Road and Northcliff Trace.

The river begins to come out of its banks in low lying areas...especially near the Ace Sand Company. The river level reaches the boardwalk and fishing pier at the Don White Memorial Park under Georgia Highway 400...two miles downstream from the gage. It also reaches the top of the boat ramp at the Azalea Park on Azalea Drive west of Georgia Highway 9.
