Flood of Record occurred on August 15, 2016. Flood level estimated. Water will spread across the entire area from Bayou Mancha south to Port Vincent. Evacuations will be necessary. Widespread fllooding will inundate most roads in this area, including LA Highways 16, 42, 431, and 933.
Widespread flooding will develop with significant backwater flooding over neighborhoods in Livingston and Ascension Parishes. Water will inundate LA Hwy 42 and LA Hwy 431.
Increased flow and strong current will affect river traffic. Grays Creek and the main channel of the Amite River will merge. Saint Amant Swamp will be inundated. Streets will flood in Port Vincent. There will be minor flooding of residential areas.
