Widespread and significant flooding throughout soundside Duck, Southern Shores and Kitty Hawk (north of Wright Memorial Bridge), with businesses and homes flooded. Portions of Highway 12 from Duck to Kitty Hawk will be inundated and impassable, as well as portions of US 158 (Croatan Highway) in Kitty Hawk, from Wright Memorial Bridge to Duck Woods Drive. Many secondary roads, in soundside communities, will be impassable with several feet of inundation.
