What Floods at Each Level

Miami Conservancy flood protective levees would be overtopped resulting in flooding of protected areas of Franklin. Much of Franklin west of the river is impacted, although many areas between Main Street and the river along the east bank are also flooded. North Main Street north of Central Avenue floods. Many homes and businesses in the Chautauqua area and parts of southern Carlisle are impacted. Dayton-Oxford Road to Franklin-Trenton Road as well as parts of Central Avenue are flooded.

Flood waters affect numerous homes in the Chautauqua area. Dayton-Oxford Road to Franklin-Trenton Road is flooded, and flood waters start to affect Central Avenue on the west side of the river. Areas of Franklin protected by Miami Conservancy District Levees do not flood until stages at and above 22 feet. However, parts of Franklin outside of the flood protection but near the river do incur flooding. North Main Street north of Central Avenue and further up on to North Dixie Highway are flooded.
